Happy Birthday Banner

I recently bought a photopolymer stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It is really fun because you can see the stamps through the clear block and it is easier to position on the paper.  With that being said, I have had difficulty.  Maybe it is the time of day I am stamping or I am getting too distracted while stamping.  Anyway, I recently made a card that I totally love.

Simple right?  I love the colors and that cupcake punch that has been MIA for quite a while.  How about the banner that spells out birthday?  My favorite part!

With Sympathy

Here is a card that I made for my husbands boss.  It is a masculine sympathy card.  Simple with strong colors.  It is never easy to lose someone.  I thought that it was nice that my husband wanted to give a card.  Believe it or not usually men get a bad rap when it comes to being thoughtful and writing down their feelings.  My husband has a way with words and he usually buys like a $10 card to go with those beautiful words (but that is a story for another day).  However, he writes the nicest things and I know he wrote something meaningful and caring inside this card.

Thanks

Here is a little thank  you card that I made.  I was looking at my paper and realized that I have a lot of silver glimmer paper.  So I was checking out the new catalog and got inspired by some of the ideas and made this card.

I bought the lovely little labels stamp set and the little labels punch pack and never used it!  I made a cute little banner.  The vellum butterfly is hard to see in this picture, but pretty in person.  It is sparkly and subdued to me at the same time (if that is possible, lol).  I can't seem to get away from the pool party color.  I am really trying! :)  Off to work, even though I am still daydreaming about crafting...

YAY!!!!!!

So exciting today----too much, too much!!! I am on SU overload because there is SNEEK PEEK for demonstrators!  I WANT EVERYTHING!

I am going to share a little something today and back to scouring the new catalog and dreaming about fun projects!

This card is so yummy right?  That was what a co-worker said when she was looking at it.  It is the cupcake.  I love the bright colors of this card and the layers.  Anyway I'm off to drown myself in the catalog.  Oh wait I have to work, dang it!!!! I'll just bring it with me and 'work'...

Thank you

Here is a 'Thank you' card that I made just because I wanted to make a card using purple tones.  Enter Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.  Just a simple card that changes a little when you add some bling. I love adding rhinestones or pearls to cards.

I love the 'First Edition' DSP.  I hope the new catalog coming out will have the DSP or something similar.  Okay gotta go, I am late for work!!!

Thanks so much

I had this idea that I would make a card using the dress frame and that the dress would be made of butterflies.  Sometimes the way you imagine something is better in your head than on paper.  However, when I was done with the card, I actually liked it.  Maybe it was the colors or that I just love butterflies. lol

Here is the card:

It is so simple and pretty (I think)... I had left over butterflies from cards I made using the negative space.  You can see the card here.  What do you think about this being a mother's day card?  Just add a different sentiment.  Hmmmm...

Baby Shower Banner for Kelly

As promised here is the baby shower banner I made for my niece Kelly.

You can see my little under-the-sea friends from the create-a-critter are back and look so cute on the banner.  All the paper is Stampin' Up! and I used the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP and the retiring baja breeze cardstock for the rosettes and banner base.  The rosettes are made using the Bigz Xl Designer Rosette die for the Big Shot.  Add some twine and you are done.  My niece Kelly loved it and posted the following comment on facebook:

"Jr got his first room decor from his great Aunt Nicole Gunderson and family!!! I can't even explain how cute it is!!! It has sea animals and his name on it! It will be perfect for above his crib!!! Thank you guys!!! ♥ and miss you!!"

Now this is why I craft!

Baby Shower

My niece Kelly is having a baby and we are so excited!  She lives out of state and I can't go to the shower, which is a bummer because I would have loved to go and celebrate with family and friends.

Here is the card I made her:

What are these cute little critters?  They are from my create-a-critter cricut cartridge!  The nursery theme is under-the-sea and I thought this card fit it.  Stay tuned for the banner I made her.

Paper Pumpkin!!!

I have decided to sign up with Paper Pumpkin with Stampin' Up! and get crafty goodies sent to me monthly!!  Look at the cute box it came in:

Here is a cute note thanking me and writing things like "that smile looks good on you" (and I was smiling too!) and "hurry open me up!"  I love how SU does clever things like that!

You get a two stamps, a basic grey stampin' spot, a clear block, stickers, and paper.

Here is the card that you can make with the kit.  They give you 4 card supplies.  I have seen people add things to them or make a different card with the same supplies.  I just had to get that 'hey there friend' stamp!  I love it!

Very fun! I can't wait until next month!!

whoo hoo it's two!

A nurse at my work asked me if I could make two cards for an adoption- twin girls.  How cute is that?  She had one request- make it pink.  The idea was that they could have one for each scrapbook.

Simple and pretty, I think.  The nurse Sue loved them and I hope those happy little girls love them too!

Another papercrafts CAS...

I found another card that I wanted to case from the Papercrafts magazine and it was very simple.  Here is the card I made:

There is the washi tape again that I want to use on everything and I mean everything!  Fun paper and colors.  Possibly my favorite over the Tea for Two DSP which is saying a lot.

This was quick to put together.  Check out the Papercraft magazine inspiration.  I seriously love the colors of it too.

How about one more?

Here is my last card I made for my papercrafts case.  I am liking the washi tape!  I want more sizes and colors and I think that SU will deliver.

Here is my very simple card.  I really like how it turned out.

How simple right???? I am making a bunch of these to sell at work.  That butterfly makes me smile.

Here's another one...

As promised I went a little crazy with the papercrafts case I posted and made up some cards using the same layout.  Here is another card:

I love this version of the card because it doesn't use so many of the ribbon flowers that I am hoarding!  Stampin' Up! better never retire the bitty punches.  I love them and think that they add so much to a card.

Anyhoo, I have to rush I am late for work! lol...

Papercrafts case

My friend Claudia brought a Papercrafts magazine to work and I saw a few cute cards that I wanted to case.  The first one is simple and used washi tape and a cute butterfly punch.  I added some flowers from the flower ribbon and love the effect of the This and That Epic Day DSP.  I really had fun with this style so stay tuned for some other cards I made...

Happy Accident!

So I was punching out some butterflies and liked how the negative result looked.  I thought that it would make a cute card.  These butterflies were punched out with some left over paper from the This and that Epic Day DSP.  Add a little more to it and here is the result- a happy accident!

I don't even know what kind of card this could be, but I have it on hand just in case.  I really love it!

Happy 'Bee' Day!

My friend Anna came over and told me that she needed a couple of birthday cards.  She said that a friend liked yellow so I thought Daffodil Delight.  When I see yellow I think of bees.  Anna and I work well together and I love to craft with her.  She told me to not overdue it.  I think that we came up with a great card.

Simple and sweet I think.  I just love the colors, the honeycomb, and the bees.  There are ones hidden in the honeycomb.

Add a little flower with a pearl and a bottle cap.  I love everything about this card.  I almost didn't let Anna take her cards home. lol!

Owl pillow!

My friend Claudia sewed an owl pillow for me!  I was blown away!  Just out of the blue and it was a wonderful surprise!  He sits on my desk and makes me so happy!  Claudia made the pink owl for my friend Sia.  We both were just so touched and amazed!  Thank you so much my talented and wonderful friend!

Outreach-Crafting for a cause

A group of us from my church enjoy doing an outreach a couple of times a month at a skilled nursing facility.  We usually do a craft, sing, and play games.  It is really fun.  This month I came up with a card and a cute little 3D.  My favorite time was everyone at the table getting excited and stamping cards to give to the residents.  A couple of the residents are a little afraid of stamping, but just wait-they are going to be pros after a while!  How about some tissue flowers to hand out too?  They had bible verses attached to them and were so bright and colorful!

Adoptions cards-Charlette's creations

I love these cards! The paper is so yummy!  It is from 'My Mind's Eye' and my coworkers are grabbing these like crazy! Why??? Because they love the patterned paper.  Charlette is so awesome!  She came to our crafty night with 60 of these cards!!! Ah-mazing!  She then helped me with my cards.  You can check out Charlette's crafty blog here.  I love her blog and check it daily right when I get into work.

Happy Birthday Kristin!!

It was Kristin's birthday last week and this card is on it's way to her.  I really liked crafting this card.  It must have been the colors and Tea for Two DSP.  I have to say that pool party has to be one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors.  How about a little crumb cake and some embellishments?  Yes, please!

This card looks blurry, but I swear that it was more crisp on my camera.

The pool party paper is the coordinations card stock that you can emboss and sand.  I like the look and texture of the paper after the sanding.

I have to say that it was hard creating a card for Kristin as she is an avid crafter!  It seriously too me all day to come up with this!  lol!  You can check out Kristin's blog here.

Well, I am off to some fun outreach with Seniors today at a local skilled nursing facility today! We will be having a crafty day.

Adoption card-Niki's creations

Niki came up with two cute designs. I love these cards.  She ended up making almost 50 cards in 2 hours! Amazing!  My coworkers love them to and are having a hard decision on which one to choose. You can check out her fabulous blog here.

Happy Birthday!

This card is another favorite of mine from Beverly's card hop. My friend Kim demo'ed the card. She is an awesome crafter.  You can check out her blog here.  So far I have made 2 birthday cards for my mother-in-law and friend Jennifer as well as made at least 10 to sell at work.  Why?  Because this card is so cute!  So many elements that come together and are eye-catching.  My sister Andrea showed her husband the cards she made from stamp camps and this was his favorite.  So much so that he keeps seeing the card and telling her he likes it!  Seriously, this guy could care less about paper crafting and our obsession with it!  I can almost see both my husband and his eye's rolling when my sister and I talk for hours about Stampin' up! and projects we are doing.  BUT...he loves this card!  That is awesome right???  I agree and just love the dress form framelit.
